(not-so) Secret Origin

Ok, so here’s how it all begins.  After debating whether or not to try blogging, I figured I’d give it a shot with WordPress.  After all, it’s not costing me anything and who knows, I could really come to enjoy it.

As for the title, it comes from the term cloud computing, in which, at least according to Wikipedia, the cloud is a metaphor for the Internet itself.  Since the internet is quickly becoming an amalgamation of literally everything, it seemed fitting, since this blog is hopefully going to follow the same idea.  I’m sure it’ll steer towards the geekier things out there (who am I kidding, that’ll probably be all it’s ever about), but I’ll try to keep it tolerable for everyone.

So, anyone who reads this or other posts, please go ahead and comment away; interaction with everyone else out there is what really makes web 2.0 work.  Blah blah blah, with the boring stuff out of the way, here’s something that pretty much sums up what kind of stuff you’ll be able to find here.  (Apologies if this has been seen a million times already)
